So I was doing some laundry. I was in the basement of the dorm and went to take the elevator up to my room on the 3rd floor. I hit the up button and there are two elevators: one on the 1st (ground) floor, and one on the 7th floor. The elevator system responds to me by sending the elevator on the 7th floor down to the basement instead of sending the one from the 1st floor down one level. I don't get it. I've analyzed all the situations, and it still makes no sense at all. Yes, I realize that the most people get off and get on the elevator on the first floor. Even still, the elevator from the 7th floor has to only traverse down 6 floors instead of 7 (to get me). Additionally, the elevator on the first floor can go pick me up in the basement and then stop again on the first floor to pick up needy residents. MOL is hereby putting up an undisclosed prize for anyone that can explain the whole elevator system to me so that it rationally makes sense to me.
End of rant. Its been awhile since I updated this puppy. I apologize to my faithful readers. The next couple of weeks are quite busy for me as the semester winds dows, so my postings may be sparse. Again, to you my faithful readers I send my upmost of apologies.
This past weekend was an exciting 4 days of basketball here at MSU. The men lost in the national semi's to eventual champion UNC. The women beat the perennial powerhouse of Pat Summit & the Lady Volunteers of Tennesee to make it to the championship game where the got smacked around by Baylor. The seasons were successful beyond expectation for both the men and the women. Its nice to be at a school where 43000 people can rally around their sporting teams.
It's official. Two things that is. 1) Spring has finally arrived and thank goodness for that! There have been a couple days the past two weeks where shorts have been debateable. Of course there are other days where it cools off and its gloomy again. But no more snow!!! And, the eye candy is out in droves!
2) Baseball has officially begun. Its always a good feeling. Thats how you know its the official start of spring. The Indians are expected to have a decent year, contending with Minnesota for the division title. Of course as I write this they are on their way to starting off 0-3. Also I've got 2 fantasy baseball teams I'm "managing." It always seems like I"m in the middle of the pack and I don't have the oomph to contend for the title. This is a new year, however, and I'm confident.
